Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton will face each other tonight in a Battle of East and West. The highly anticipated showdown will have Hatton's IBO light welterweight title and his Ring Magazine junior welterweight title on the line. The fight, which is scheduled for 12 rounds, is set to begin at 9:00pm ET at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fight fans can catch the event live on HBO Pay-Per-View. Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton Fight Odds at Bodog.com have the "Pacman" listed as a -265 moneyline favorite. Manny Pacquiao has taken the boxing world by storm over the past year and a half, defeating Juan Manuel Marquez, David Diaz, and Oscar De La Hoya all in a 13 month span. The Filipino has also earned world titles in five different divisions and, should he beat Hatton this evening, he will tie a boxing record by garnering his sixth world division title. Pacquiao, who hails from General Santos City in the Philippines, will enter the ring tonight with a 48-3-2 record. The powerful southpaw has 36 professional knockouts. He has not been defeated since Erik Morales won a unanimous decision over him in March of 2005 at the MGM Grand. The 30 year old champion has shown a high regard for his opponent this evening, but his trainer, Freddie Roach, has let it be known how he sees tonight's fight playing out. "I've got the best fighter. Manny is in the greatest shape of his life" Roach said. "I've been telling Manny all along that I will be disappointed if this fight goes longer than three rounds." Ricky Hatton comes into this blockbuster clash with a 45-1 record. "The Hitman", who has never lost a light welterweight bout in his professional career, clearly feels comfortable fighting at his natural weight of 140lbs. His only setback came in a welterweight conflict with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in December of 2007. He has since won two light welterweight fights in defense of his titles, one against Mexican Juan Lazcano and the other against American Paul Malignaggi. Hatton, a native of Manchester, England, stands 5'6" tall and is an orthodox fighter. He has knocked out 32 of his 46 professional opponents.
