Soto is a no-name fighter that has quietly established himself as a fighter that everyone seems willing to avoid because of his huge power in both hands and lack of marketability. Soto arrived on the scene when he handed the highly touted contender Rocky Juarez his first loss in 2005. At 27 years old in his prime, Soto is a fundamentally sound and incredibly conditioned Puncher/Boxer that likes to apply smart pressure with a steady diet of body punches. The 5'7" Soto has a great chin and is physically strong for the Jr. Lightweight division. One weakness Soto does have, is a lack of head movement as he can be hit with flush shots with regularity. Joan Guzman is a rare talent that has Floyd Mayweather like counterpunching ability with his defensive shoulder rolls that he uses beautifully. The 5'7" Guzman has fought most of his career at 126 Lbs. but he has developed physically into a shredded 130 Lb. fighter. Guzman has been dubbed “Little Tyson” because of his good power but he is truly more of a master boxer that has fast hands and oily defense. Guzman can also fight inside and bodypunch effectively but he is at his best when he works off of his sneaky left jab with his long arms. One knock on Guzman is that their have been whispers that he likes to party outside the ring not unlike most gifted fighters. The Dominican is also 31 years old and he hasn’t been in the ring in almost a year.
