Vernon Forrest came out with his game face on against Italian challenger Michele Piccirillo in his scheduled 12 round title fight at the Foxwoods Casino in New Jersey. In the 6th round Forrest clubbed the Italian with a right hand to the back of the head that dropped Piccirillo. The Italian injured his ankle when he fell and the fight was stopped in the 11th round.
