Holyfield last defeated Italian tough guy Lou Savarese June 30th where he was a -650 boxing odds favorite at WagerWeb.com. Ibragimov is at his peak having just defeated Shannon Briggs June 2nd to capture the title as a -170 boxing bet at SportBet.com I think that Evander has a real good shot in this fight to bring the title back to the USA. Sultan is a southpaw with decent skills but is a paper champion who was in the right place at the right time. Holyfield looked awfully sharp in his last two bouts, showing no signs of being a declining fighter. Look for the books to probably favor the younger Sultan Ibragimov with the public perception being that Evander Holyfield is an old washed up pugilist. 44 year old Evander Holyfield will have an opporunity to be a 5-time heavyweight title belt holder on October 13th when he challenges Sultan Ibragimov for the WBO Heavyweight championship. The venue and TV broadcast will be determined at a later date.
