Welterweight boxing superstars Sugar Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto will face each other November 9th at New York’s historic Madison Square Garden. Shane Mosley, 44-4, 37 KO’s is coming off a dominating win when Sportsbook.com had Mosley as a -185 betting favorite over Fernando Vargas.
Miguel Cotto, 30-0, 25 KO’s, is fresh off the best win of his career against Zab Judah. Against Judah Bodog.com had Cotto a -250 favorite in one of the best fights of the year to date.
Mosley, 35, will be the elder statesmen in this affair but “Sugar” still is one of the fastest most skilled fighters in the sport. Cotto, 26, is a young lion who batters opponets with blistering body punches. On the line will be the Cotto’s WBA belt and Mosley’s WBC belt.
After originally being schedueled in Las Vegas the bout has been moved to New York due to glove regulations. In New York smaller gloves are allowed which increases the chance of a knockout occuring in this fight.
