The venue is slated to be at the Mecca of Boxing in New York City at The Madison Square Garden. The fight will be set at a catchweight of 170 lbs. Roy Jones has been fighting at 175 lbs. for some time while Trinidad last fought over two years ago at 160 lbs.

Jones looked pretty impressive in his last fight by dominating top 20 Light-Heavyweight Anthony Hanshaw by Unanimous decision. Trinidad was last seen in the ring being outclassed by Winky Wright by lopsided decision in May of 2005.

“I am coming to knock you out.” Trinidad warned Jones via telephone conference call. While Tito Trinidad is confident he will flatten the china chinned Roy I have my doubts. Trinidad has been seen as high as 220 lbs. Since his retirement and while he is heavy-handed he will be moving up an additional 10 lbs. In fighting weight.

While Roy isn’t the super Roy of old, he has been active in the ring and is twice as fast as Felix. This should be a good fight nonetheless between two skilled fighters in the respective twilights of their careers.
