The Gators fell to 11-4 on Saturday and had a three games win streak snapped as they lost their conference opener 87-95 at Vanderbilt. Guards Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker did their best to throttle the Commodores, combining for 50 points (11-for-22 from three point range), 10 assists, and six rebounds, but their efforts fell short as Vandy connected on 26-of-33 attempts from the charity stripe.
Florida is 7-1 at the O'Connell Center this season, where they have held their opposition to a remarkable 53.6 points per game. The Gators lone home loss came on December 22nd when South Alabama shocked Billy Donovan's troops with a 67-66 upset.
