An interesting interconference Big East vs. Big 12 mens basketball encounter will take place Saturday (4 pm Eastern, CBS) when top-ranked Texas travels to play the Connecticut Huskies who will be without their head coach Jim Calhoun who has had to take a leave of absence due to health issues.
Connecticut was expected to go through a bit of a rebuilding effort this season, and they've lost three straight games to drop out of the rankings. And the Huskies will have their hands full Saturday with Texas, which suffered its first loss of this season Monday night at Kansas State.
