The Indiana Hoosiers look to keep pace in the Big-10 of College Basketball Picks when they host the Wisconsin Badgers. The Hoosiers come into this one 20-3 SU overall including 9-1 SU in the Big-10 and are just behind the Purdue Boilermakers for the top spot in the conference. Their only loss in the Big-10 this year was against this same Wisconsin team back on January 31st, a 62-49 decision. Indiana has won three straight games as they look forward to this one but have not had a victory versus a ranked opponent yet this season. After tonight’s game they will face another two tough conference opponents in 9th ranked Michigan State (who lost last night to Purdue) and 23rd ranked Purdue. Indiana is led by freshman guard Eric Gordon who is averaging a conference best 21.3 points while pulling down 10.7 rebounds per game. Even with the loss in their last meeting the public seems to believe that home court will do the trick tonight as Indiana is listed as a -4 point home favorite at BetUs.com.
The Wisconsin Badgers will come into this College Basketball Picks contest sporting a 19-4 SU mark including 8-2 SU in the Big-10. The Badgers are looking to rebound off their 72-67 Saturday loss to the Purdue Boilermakers. Much of the Badgers success this season can be attributed to their defense as they are second in the nation in scoring defense giving up only 54.9 points per game. On offense Wisconsin scores an average of 68.9 points per game while shooting 45.6% from the floor. The Badgers are led in scoring by sophomore guard Trevon Hughes who averages 12.7 points per game. Wisconsin as controlled the boards this season as they out rebound their opponents by an average of 37-30. However, in their previous matchup versus the Hoosiers they squeezed out only a 41-40 rebounding edge. The game tonight will be the 150th meeting between the two teams with Indiana holding a 93-56 advantage.
Although Indiana hasn’t faced by one ranked opponent this season they have excelled versus top caliber teams the last couple of seasons going 8-1 ATS when playing against a team with a winning percentage of over 80% the last 2 seasons. The key, as stated above, will be Wisconsin’s ability to grab more boards than the Hoosiers as they are 7-0 ATS (+7.0 Units) after a game outrebounding opponent by 20 or more since 1997.
