Texas Tech vs Baylor College Basketball Picks – February 16th, 2010: Conference rivals Texas Tech and Baylor will meet for the first time this season when they tip things off at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas. The game is scheduled to get underway at 8:00pm ET; it can be seen live on ESPN's Full Court Pay-Per-View. Online bookmaker Sportsbook.com presently has the No. 22 Bears listed as a -11 against the spread home favorite in their Texas Tech vs Baylor College Basketball Picks.

Texas Tech will attempt to get back on track this evening after losing 65-67 at Texas A&M on Saturday. The loss, which Texas Tech vs Baylor College Basketball Picks - February 16th, 2010snapped a two game win streak for the Red Raiders, brought Tech's overall record to 16-8 and their conference mark to 4-6. Despite getting a combined 39 points from forward Mike Singeltary and guard John Roberson against A&M, the Red Raiders were not able to overcome a 25 to 38 disadvantage on the glass as well as a shoddy 40.8 team field goal percentage.

Tech, which is 3-6 on the road this season, had beaten Oklahoma State at home and Oklahoma in Norman prior to their loss to the Aggies. The Red Raiders will need some of the good road fortune they experienced against the Sooners in order to get past Baylor this evening. Pat Knight's squad has lost four in a row in Waco by an average of eight points per game.

Baylor won its second game in a row and fourth in its last five outings on Saturday, narrowly getting past the Missouri Tigers 64-62 at the Ferrell Center. The Bears were miserable behind the arc against Mike Anderson's troops, connecting on just 6-of-21 from long range. However, they made up for their subpar three point night by hitting 18-of-21 from the charity stripe and out-rebounding the Tigers 35 to 23. Guard LaceDarius Dunn, who leads the Bears in scoring at 18.7 per game, had a team high 17 for Baylor, despite missing eight of his 11 three point attempts.

The Bears, which are 12-1 at home (lost to No. 7 Kansas State), are currently fourth in the Big 12 standings with a 6-4 league record (19-5 overall); however, they will move into a tie with Texas A&M should they beat Tech tonight. Baylor meets A&M for a second time on February 24th; they lost to the Aggies 71-78 in College Station on the 6th.
