Clemson will try to regain their top 10 form tonight against the Terrapins of Maryland at the Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina. The Tigers, who have fallen back in the ACC race after losing two of their last three games, desperately need a win to boost their sagging confidence. Tonight's game tips off at 7:30pm ET and will be televised on ESPN2.Maryland vs Clemson College Basketball Picks

Maryland vs Clemson College Basketball Picks at SBGglobal.com have the Tigers listed as a huge -10.5 against the spread home favorite.

Thirteenth ranked Clemson looked to be in the thick of the ACC race just a couple of weeks ago — and they still are in third place with a 6-4 conference record — but their recent skid leaves them with a lot of ground to cover. With just six games left in the regular season, they have to hope that the 9-2 Tar Heels suddenly collapse.

The Tigers sandwiched an away victory at Boston College between a home loss to Florida State and road slip up at Virginia. The Cavaliers overcame Clemson on Sunday night 85-81 in overtime at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, VA. The Tigers coughed up 21 turnovers and missed 17 of 26 three point attempts in the defeat. Guard Terrence Oglesby led his team with 17 points, but he fumbled the ball away six times. Junior forward Trevor Booker added 16 points and seven boards for Clemson.

The 20-4 Tigers have been solid at Littlejohn this season going 11-2 with the losses coming to Wake Forest and the aforementioned Seminoles. They average 77.2 points per game in Clemson and allow a paltry 58.2 to visitors.

Maryland has been up and down all season long and after losing five of seven games, they have now won two in a row. The recent uptrend, which involved a road win at Georgia Tech (their first away win of the season) and a home victory over Virginia Tech, has moved the Terps record to 5-5 in ACC play and 16-8 overall.

Gary Williams squad last played on February 14th at the Comcast Center in College Park, Maryland when they defeated the Hokies 83-73. The deciding factor in the win was the Terrapins prowess from the charity strip where they connected on 24-of-26 attempts. Junior forward Landon Milbourne, who was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line, led Maryland with 23 points and six rebounds.

The Terps have been abysmal outside of College Park, going just 1-4 in true road games. They average just 65 points per game away from home and allow 77.4 per game to host squads.
