Regardless of who plays for Indiana the Northwestern Wildcats certainly aren’t a College Basketball Picks threat as they come into this one in last place in the Big-10. The Wildcats are only 7-17 SU overall including going winless in the Big-10 at 0-13 SU. Northwestern has lost six straight games and three straight to the Hoosiers. The Wildcats certainly don’t seem to be a scoring threat today as they average only 62.5 points per game overall. However, they potentially could pose a problem at home today as their scoring does improve over 6 points on their home floor to 68.2. On their earlier matchup the Wildcats were able to shoot almost 48% from the floor against the Hoosiers. Their defense will need to step it up against a sharp shooting Indiana team as the Wildcats have allowed their opponents to shoot a very high 50% from the field including 42% from beyond the arc. Things certainly don’t look good for Northwestern as history tells us that they are 9-24 ATS in home games after failing to cover 2 of their last 3 against the spread since 1997. However, consider that the fallout of the Kelvin Sampson has yet to be determined and Indiana is only 5-16 ATS in February games over the last 3 seasons.
