The first half of ESPN's Big Monday double header features a Big East battle between the Louisville Cardinals and the Georgetown Hoyas. Louisville vs Georgetown College Basketball Picks at SBGglobal.com have the Cardinals listed as a -2 against the spread favorite.

Rick Pitino's squad got burned 57-90 by Notre Dame in South Bend on February 12th; the horrific loss apparantly struck a nerve with the Cardinals as they have been lights out since. They enter this evening's face-off with the Hoyas on a three game win streak and tied for second place in the Big East with a 12-2 conference record. Louisville feasted on conference foes DePaul, Providence, and Cincinnati in regaining their collective composure.

Louisville's last outing was a 72-63 win against the Bearcats in Cincinnati. The Cardinals shot 47 percent from beyond the arc in the contest and also outrebounded Cincy 33 to 24. Forwards Terrence Williams and Earl Clark combined for 34 points and 17 rebounds (eight offensive) in the critical road win.

The Cardinals, who have home games against Marquette and Seton Hall before closing out the schedule with an away game at West Virginia, are 6-1 on the road this season. They are averaging 66.6 points per game in opposing arenas while giving up 61.9 in return.

Georgetown has had a difficult time navigating their way through a tough Big East schedule, as their 5-9 conference record would indicate. The latest pratfall for the Hoyas was a 72-78 home loss to Marquette on Saturday. The defeat was the eighth in their last 10 games, moving them to 14-11 overall.

Georgetown shot a better percentage from both the field and three point range than did the Golden Eagles, but Marquette managed to get more shots off in the contest. Guards Jerel McNeal and Wesley Matthews picked the Hoyas defense apart as they united for 45 points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists.

The Hoyas, despite their mediocre record, are 11-4 at the Verizon Center this year. They average 73 per game there and give up an average of just 60.8 to visiting squads.

SBGglobal.com's Louisville vs Georgetown College Basketball Picks:

Louisville Cardinals -2 (-110), Over 133 (-110), -130 (Moneyline)

Georgetown Hoyas +2 (-110), Under 133 (-110), +110 (Moneyline)
