The No. 1 Duke Blue Devils mens basketball team steps out of ACC play Wednesday (7:05 PM Eastern, ESPN2) to host the 24th ranked Temple Owls of the Atlantic-10 Conference at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham. Odds makers at most offshore sports books list Duke as 14-point spreads favorites for this game.

The Owls arrive in Durham riding a season best eight-games win streak, last defeating Saint Joseph's 66-52 on Sunday, to improve to 21-5 overall and 11-2 in A-10 play. Owls forward Scootie Randall, who has averaged 17.8 points per game over the eight-game winning streak, is questionable for the game because of a right foot injury. The Owls are still a talented club even if Randall doesn't go. Lavoy Allen is the best rebounder in the tough A-10, and the all-time Owls leader on the boards with 1,045.

College Basketball's regular season could not more exciting than right now as it turns down the final stretch towards March Madness. Point-Spreads.com hoops expert handicappers Reno Gold and John Day will be providing 2011 NCAA Basketball Predictions all the way to the Final-4 and Championship Game.

Duke (25-2, 12-1 ACC) is owner of the country's longest home win streak at 34 games. The Blue Devils last played Georgia Tech on Sunday, winning handily 79-57. Senior guard Nolan Smith leads the Blue Devils and ranks 10th nationally in scoring, averaging 21.7 points per game. Also averaging in double-figures for the Blue Devils are freshman guard Kyrie Irving (17.4 ppg) and senior forward Kyle Singler (16.8 ppg).

Duke has won eight straight in the all-time series between the schools with the overall record favoring the Blue Devils, 17-9.  Five of the last eight times the teams have met, Duke has been ranked first nationally with the Blue Devils winning each encounter.

Cameron Indoor Stadium is a difficult place to play even for players accustomed to visiting there. Look for a double-digit win for Duke but giving 14 points is too much. Bettors should risk a Temple cover +14 in this one but it will be close. NCAAB Spreads BEST BET – Owls +14.
