The No. 24 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (24-6, 14-4 Big East) will play No. 24 Marquette (23-8, 11-7) in the Big East tournament quarterfinals Thursday with an approximate start time of 9:30 p.m. ET at Madison Square Garden in New York. Sixth seeded Marquette had to get past 11-seed Seton Hall in the first round of the Big East Championship by Aeropastale on Wednesday to have a chance of knocking off the Irish. The Irish finished tied for second with Louisville in the final regular-season standings, but earned the No. 3 seed overall by virtue of the Cardinals's victory back on February 28. Marquette is a favored by a single digit (-1.0) with a 147 total, according to oddsmakers at online sports wagering giant Bodoglife.com.  

The schools split the season series with each picking up a SU win on its own home court. Marquette was successful covering the chalk (ATS) in both games.
