Auburn vs. Florida – SEC Tournament Picks: The SEC mens basketball tournament will continue opening round action Thursday night (7:30 pm Eastern) when the Auburn Tigers (West 5) challenge the Florida Gators (East 4) at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. All SEC tournament games are televised on the SEC network.

College Basketball oddsmakers online at super-sportsbook Bodog.com list the Gators as 5-chalk favorites versus the Tigers with a 144 total. This game is currently OFF the Bodog moneyline board.

Auburn is 15-16 overall and 6-10 in the league but 3-2 in the last five games of the season, while Florida comes in at 20-11 and 9-7 in the league, the fourth best record in the Eastern Division.

Early betting trends show public betting heavy on Florida, both ATS (97%) and SU (87%) while 66% are betting the OVER exceeds the posted 144 total.

Florida trails the all-time series with Auburn, 87-69, however, has won 11 of the last 12 meetings including a 78-70 win in Gainesville last month. In that game, Auburn covered as a +9 point underdog while the OVER exceeded the posted 145 total.

The winner of the contest will play Mississippi State on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals. Mississippi State got the bye as the West No. 1 seed and co-champions in the Western Division with Ole Miss.

Auburn is a team that has improved greatley as the season went along and had a strong finish of the regular season. Florida will have its hands full with the inspired Tigers. We like Auburn getting +5 in this one.
