Nebraska, which lost to Missouri twice during the regular season, fell 53-64 in its lone meeting with the Aggies this year. Texas A&M hit just 18 of its 47 field goal attempts in the win, but the Aggies scored a double digit rebound advantage and got to the free throw line 33 times to Nebraska's nine.
Texas A&M, which is led by senior guard Donald Sloan, finished fourth in the Big 12 this year after putting together a 22-8 overall record and an 11-5 record against conference competition. The Aggies have won three in a row and eight of their last 10 coming into today's game. They last played on March 6th, getting a 69-54 victory over Oklahoma in Norman.
The No. 24 Aggies are 2-2 in neutral site games this year, beating Clemson and Minnesota while falling to No. 7 West Virginia (66-73) and No. 8 New Mexico (81-84).
