The Baylor vs Missouri Big 12 Championship Pick at Sportsbook.com has the Tigers listed as a -6 against the spread favorite.

Baylor suffered through a disappointing regular season, at least in conference play, as they closed out the year with a 5-11 record against Big 12 schools. Many pundits had predicted the Bears to finish third in the conference prior to any games getting under way, but Scott Drew's team managed to produce a lackluster 17-13 overall mark in the face of big expectations. They have, however, fashioned a great run in the Big 12 Championship when most people felt they would be a mere doormat.

The Bears started the tournament by handling a tough Nebraska squad 65-49 on Wednesday. They followed that performance up with a stunning 71-64 upset of the top seeded Jayhawks. Things continued to roll for Baylor last night as they took out the Texas Longhorns 76-70. Prior to yesterday's defeat, Texas Head Coach Rick Barnes had never lost to the Bears in his tenure at Austin.

The boys from Waco had four players in double figures against the Longhorns and they made things count at the charity stripe, connecting on 19 of their 22 free throw attempts.

Scott Drew has watched his team accumulate a 5-1 record in neutral site games this year, scoring wins over the likes of Providence, Arizona State, and Kansas. His squad, which averages 76.8 points per game, lost to the Tigers 72-89 on January 31st in Columbia, Missouri.

Missouri, winners of 10 of their last 12 games, concluded the regular season with a stellar 12-4 record in Big 12 action. They have continued their solid play against rival schools this week in Oklahoma City, beating Texas Tech for a second time on Thursday night and getting past Oklahoma State for a second time last night. The Tigers scored a 67-59 win against the Cowboys to advance to today's Championship Game.

Mike Anderson's players did not have their best offensive night, but they made sure that the Pokes did not either as they limited them to 4-of-24 from three point range. They also held Byron Eaton to four points on 0-of-7 field goal shooting while forcing him into eight turnovers. Guard Zaire Taylor led all Tigers in scoring as he dropped in a season high 19 points.

Missouri is 4-1 in neutral site games this year and they rank seventh in the nation in scoring, averaging 81.4 points per game.
