The Ohio State University Buckeyes will dance as the overall No. 1 seed, playing in the East Regional of the 2011 Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament. The tournament selection committe on Sunday also named Kansas, Duke and Pittsburg as regional top-seeds. The Duke Blue Devils, No. 1 in the West Regional and lined betting favorite at +450, will be looking to repeat as National Champions for the second consecutive year. Odds makers list championship odds on Southwest Regional No. 1 Kansas at +500 and Southeast Pittsburg at +800.
On Friday in Cleveland, the Buckeyes will play the winner of 16-seed's University of Texas-San Antonio vs. Alabama State game. That game takes place at University of Dayton Arena, Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday. UTSA is an early 5-chalk College Basketball Picks favorite vs. ASU.
Duke will play its first West Regional game in Charlotte on Friday (3:10 PM Eastern) against against 16-seed Hampton. The Blue Devils are heavy 23-point favorites for the game. The Jayhawks should rule in that game as 22 1/2-point spreads favorites.
Southeast No. 1 Pittsburg will take on first round winner of the UNC-Asheville vs. Arkansas-Little Rock game on Thursday at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. UNC-Asheville is listed as a NCAA Basketball Picks 4-chalk favorites in the game with UALR.
