The Duke Blue Devils will be gunning for their eighth ACC tournament championship in the last 11 seasons when they take on the Florida State Seminoles this afternoon. It will be the third time the two schools have met this season and Florida State will be hoping for a different result as Duke won the first two meetings by a combined 11points. The game is set to tip off at 1:00pm ET at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta and will be televised live on ESPN. The Florida State vs Duke ACC Championship Pick at Sportsbook.com has the Blue Devils listed as a -5.5 against the spread favorite. The Dukies had a rough stretch this year where they won just two of six games, but it would appear that they have found their way at just the right time. The Blue Devils reeled off five straight wins prior to their season finale loss in Chapel Hill and they have garnered two victories in this week's ACC Tournament. Duke, now 27-6, beat Boston College 66-65 on Friday before upending Maryland 67-61 in yesterday's action. Mike Kryzewski's team hit over 40 percent from beyond the arc against the Terps and they managed to draw 21 free throw attempts, 18 of which found the mark. Guard Jon Scheyer led the way for the Blue Devils on an off night from Gerald Henderson. The junior scored a game high 22 points on 6-of-12 field goal shooting. Duke, who finished second in the ACC standings with an 11-5 conference record, is 5-0 in neutral site games this year. The Blue Devils have averaged 73.8 points per game at impartial locations while allowing a meager 60.8. Florida State closed out their regular season with a 10-6 conference record and a 23-8 overall mark. Those tallies were good enough for a fourth place finish in the ACC standings. The Seminoles carried the momentum from their season finale 63-53 win over Virginia Tech into this weekend's tournament as they have foiled Georgia Tech and North Carolina to reach today's championship game. Yesterday Florida State took out a short-handed Tar Heels squad 73-70 at the Georgia Dome. The Seminoles outrebounded North Carolina and forced them to four of 15 shooting from three point range. FSU guard Toney Douglas, per usual, led the way for his team, connecting on 10-of-18 field goals for a game high 27 points. The Seminoles are also 5-0 in neutral site battles this season; they have held opponents in those meetings to a 65 point per game average.
