March Madness 2010 Bracket Predictions: The South Region features ACC Champion Duke as the one seed with Big East squad Villanova as the two and third place Big 12 finisher Baylor as the three. Duke, which is No. 3 in the coaches poll, will meet the winner of tomorrow's play-in game (Winthrop/Arkansas – Pine Bluff)

Many pundits seem to think that the Dukies are the one seed that is least likely to win the national title, despite the fact that they are coached by one of the best coaches in the country and went 29-5 while playing the eighth most difficult schedule this season.
Duke has a difficult road to travel having to face a good team in the second round in either Cal or Louisville and either Purdue, Texas A&M, Utah State or Siena should they reach the Sweet 16.
The two and three seeds, Villanova (+1800) and Baylor (+3000) are both tough teams, but Baylor is more suited to make a deep run. The Bears have tremendous guard play in Tweety Carter and LaceDarius Dunn, and they have a big man in Ekpe Udoh who is not only a great defender but also an offensive force. Baylor has all the tools to get past Nova, which they will do in the regional semifinals. The Bears win the South, restoring completely a program that was dead just a few seasons ago.
This region has a couple of good Cinderella candidates in Siena and Richmond. Both teams have good guard play, particularly Richmond, and they have big men that can rebound and bang in the paint.
