The Big 10 and the ACC will meet Thursday evening in Kansas City, Missouri when the Michigan Wolverines take on the Clemson Tigers at the Sprint Center. The South Region's seven versus 10 seed battle is set to tip off at 7:10pm ET. The winning party will most likely face the second seeded Oklahoma Sooners on March 21st.

Michigan finished eighth in the Big 10 this year with a 20-13 record and a 9-9 mark in conference play. The committee saw fit to make them a 10 seed, though, even after the Wolverines lost three of their last six games and exited the conference tournament in the quarterfinals. Victories over Duke, UCLA, Minnesota, and Illinois were enough to sway things in Michigan's favor.
John Beilein's squad, which is listed at +5000 moneyline odds to win the South Region, went 3-2 in neutral site games this year. They averaged 67.2 points per game while giving up 63.1 to their opposition. The Wolverines are led by guard Manny Harris, who averages 16.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.
Clemson at one point during the season looked as if they might have a shot to win the ACC, but things went horribly awry for the Tigers down the stretch. Clemson lost four of their last five games to finish 23-8 overall and 9-7 in conference play (fifth place). The Tigers were even eliminated in the first round of the ACC Tournament by the 12-19 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, a team they beat twice in the regular season.
Oliver Purnell's team is listed at +1600 moneyline odds to win the South Region. On the year, they are 3-1 in neutral site games and they have averaged 79 points per game while allowing opponents 68.2 in return. Forward Trevor Booker leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding at 15.3 and 9.7 respectively.
