The NCAA Tournament coverage on Point-Spreads.com continues wiith online sportsbook BetUS.com making Oklahoma Sooners Blake Griffin 2 to 1 odds to be the top scorer in the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
The 6'10 sophomore averaged 21.9 points and 14.3 rebounds per game this season and his efforts have made the Oklahoma Sooners a legitimate threat to the top seeds for the National Title. The No. 2 seed Oklahoma (27-5) takes on No. 15 seed Morgan State (23-11) on Thursday night in a first-round NCAA Tournament Game in South Region based out of Kansas City.
"I'm right there with hundreds of other players in the NCAA," stated Blake's brother Taylor Griffin. "Not everybody can be as good as Blake Griffin. In my opinion, nobody is as good as Blake Griffin in college basketball. That's how it is."
Senior Taylor Griffin is a great player in his own right, averaging 9.6 points and 6.0 rebounds a game, which happen to be career highs. The Sooners will have their hands full in the South Region with NCAA Tournament favorite North Carolina in their bracket. All roads in the NCAA Tournament to the Final Four for the Sooners will go through UNC.
"Somebody that always has your back, no matter what the situation on or off the court," stated Taylor Griffin. "That's been really cool to have. Who knows how our lives would have been different without that? I try to focus on my role, and that's to be a leader and senior captain, and kind of the glue guy that does everything this team needs."
