The Arizona Wildcats and the Utah Utes are set to face each other in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. The game between the Midwest Region's five and 12 seeds will tip off at 7:10pm ET at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The victor will square off against either Wake Forest or Cleveland State.

Arizona barely made their way into the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team. The Wildcats, who finished sixth in the Pac-10 with a 9-9 conference record, nearly snapped their streak of 24 straight tournament appearances after losing five of their last six games. Arizona's overall record dropped to 19-13 after they were defeated 56-68 by Arizona State in the Pac-10 tournament quarterfinals.
The Wildcats, who averaged 72.2 points per game this season, are listed at +3000 moneyline odds to win the Midwest Region. Three Arizona starters averaged double figures in scoring, but forward Jordan Hill led the team with a 18.5 point per game tally. He also reeled in an average of 11 rebounds per outing.
Utah finished second in the Mountain West this year with a 12-4 conference record and a 24-9 overall mark. They were just edged by BYU for the regular season title, but the Utes did garner first place in the Mountain West tournament by beating San Diego State University 52-50 last Saturday night.
Utah, who has won four in a row entering the Big Dance, is listed at +3500 moneyline odds to emerge as the Final Four representative from the Midwest Region. While the Utes have four players that average double figures in scoring, they are led by center Luke Nevill. The senior from Perth, Austrailia averaged 16.9 points and 9.1 rebounds during the regular season.
