The ten seed USC Trojans will take on the Boston College Eagles Friday night at 7:20pm ET in a Midwest Region clash at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The streaking Trojans, should they get by BC, will face either Michigan State (the region's number two seed) or Robert Morris.

USC, winners of five straight, ended the regular season in fifth place in the Pac-10 standings with a 9-9 record against conference competition. Last Saturday, however, they moved their overall record to 21-12 by winning their first ever conference tournament. The Trojans outlasted the Arizona State Sun Devils in a 66-63 championship win at the STAPLES Center.
USC, which is listed at +1500 moneyline odds to win the Midwest Region, averaged 68.4 points per game this year while giving up 63.5 per outing to their opposition. The Trojans had four starters average double figures in scoring, led by forward Taj Gibson at 14.3 per game.
Boston College did not play particularly well down the stretch, losing four of their last nine games, but they did more than enough to earn an NCAA Tournament bid. The Eagles finished sixth in the ACC with a 9-7 conference record and a 22-11 overall mark after losing to Duke 65-66 in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament.
BC, currently listed at +2500 moneyline odds to take the Midwest Region crown, are 3-2 in neutral site games this year. The Eagles are led on the court by guards Tyrese Rice and Rakim Sanders. The two players combined for an average of 30.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 7 assists per game this season.
