Oklahoma State also finished seventh in their conference after posting a 9-7 record against its Big 12 brethren. The Cowboys reached the second round of play in the league tournament, where they were sent packing after a 64-83 loss to Kansas State. Prior to their setback against the Wildcats, the Pokes had won three of four, including a 85-77 home win over top ranked Kansas.
The Cowboys, which went 6-6 against fellow tournament squads during the regular season, are led by the Big 12's leading scorer, guard James Anderson (22.6 points, 5.8 rebounds per game).
