The San Diego State got off the NCAA snide on Thursday but its unlikely that the two seeded Aztecs are satisified. San Diego State, despite its 32-2 record, entered the NCAA Tournament as a somehwat unknown commodity. Sure, 
everyone knew the Aztecs were good, but just how good remained to be seen.
The team revealed something on Thursday night, beating Northern Colorado 68-50, but fans are still anxious to find out if Kawhi Leonard and company are Final Four or even Sweet 16 material.
Leonard certainly looked the part the other night, racking up 21 points and 10 rebounds against the Bears. Temple, though, should present Leonard and the rest of the Aztecs with a much bigger challenge.
The Owls improved to 26-7 on Thursday with a first round win over in-state rival Penn State. Temple got 23 points each from Juan Fernandez and Ramone Moore in the 66-64 victory, but its performance at the free throw line made the difference.
The Owls, a 69.8 percent free throw shooting team on the season, connected on 13 of their 15 charity stripe attempts.
Tonight's game marks the first ever meeting between these two schools, but if history holds true the Owls may be in trouble. Temple is 2-4 in its last six second round games.
