Washington vs. New Mexico 2010 Bracket Predictions: The East Bracket will continue at 5:50 p.m. Eastern when the No. 3-seed University of New Mexico Lobos (MWC) play the 11-seed Washington Huskies (Pac-10) in the second round of the East Regional of the 2010 NCAA mens basketball tournament at San Jose, Calif (CBS).
Washington advanced to the round of 32 after pulling off a hard-fought 80-78 victory over Marquette in the opening round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday. Washington won the game as a slight 1.5-point spread, while the 158 points sailed OVER the posted total of 140.5. Isaiah Thomas led the way with 19 points and eight assists. NCAA bracket predictions: New Mexico has shown that it is comfortable in a fast-paced game or in a half-court contest. Washington has to have a fast pace if it is to win again. The Lobos had problems with Montana's height in the first round but that won't be a problem in this one. As with New Mexico, Washington is a bit undersized but makes up for it by crashing the boards. New Mexico star swingman Daringrton Hobson injured his hand in the first round. If he's not 100 percent, the Lobos will be in trouble. New Mexico is the best bet in this game ATS +3.
