The top seed in the Midwest, the Louisville Cardinals, will take on the Siena Saints this afternoon at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The game is scheduled to get underway at 5:20pm ET and it will be televised live on CBS. The winner will advance to take on either Arizona or Cleveland State next weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Siena upset the five seed in the Midwest on Friday, taking out the Ohio State Buckeyes 74-72 in two overtimes. The victory was the Saints fifth in a row and ninth in their last 10 games. Siena, which is averaging 77.6 points per game, improved to 27-7 by defeating the Buckeyes. The big conquest was their first neutral site win of the season.

The Siants had five players in double figures against Ohio State and they controlled the game with their frontcourt presence. Guard Ronald Moore was the hero, with big three pointers at the end of regulation and the second overtime period, but it was forwards Ryan Rossiter, Alex Franklin, and Edwin Ubiles that won the game for Siena. The three players united for 46 points and 32 rebounds.

Louisville went through the motions in the first half against play-in squad Morehead State, but they turned up the heat in the second half and cruised to an easy 74-54 win. The Cardinals are now 29-5 on the season and 4-2 in neutral site contests. Rick Pitino's team, which is hitting for 73.9 per game, secured their 11th win in a row by taking out the Eagles.

The Cardinals shot 58 percent from the field in dispatching Morehead, but it was their defensive pressure that unraveled the Eagles. They forced their fellow Kentuckians into 20 turnovers and limited them to 38.5 percent field goal shooting. Terrence Williams and Earl Clark starred for Louisville on the offensive end as they scored 25 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and handed out eight assists.
