The Marquette Golden Eagles and the Missouri Tigers are set to do battle today at the Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho. The West Region tilt between the six seed and the three seed is scheduled to tip off at 4:50pm ET; the game will broadcast live on CBS. The winner will advance to the Regionals in Glendale, Arizona where they will meet the Memphis Tigers. Marquette vs Missouri NCAA Tournament Picks at SBGglobal.com have the Tigers listed as a -3.5 against the spread favorite. Missouri cruised their way to a fourth straight win on Friday, beating the Cornell Big Red 78-59 in Boise, ID. The Tigers, who average 81 points per game, improved their overall record to 29-6 and their neutral site tally to 6-1. The victory was the 12th in the last 14 games for the Big 12 tournament champions. The Tigers shot 47.5 percent from the field against the Big Red and they knocked down 17 of their 19 free throw attempts. Four players scored in double figures for Head Coach Mike Anderson, but forward Leo Lyons led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds. His frontcourt mate, DeMarre Carroll, added 13 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Marquette had a more difficult time with Utah State as they squeaked their way to a 58-57 win against the Aggies. The Golden Eagles moved their record to 25-9 with the win and they improved their neutral site mark to 3-3. Marquette's narrow victory was just their second in their last seven games. The Golden Eagles backcourt, which is usually their strength, struggled greatly against Utah State. Marquette managed a lackluster 36.2 field goal percentage as a result, and an even worse 26.3 percent from beyond the arc. Forward Lazar Hayward, however, picked up the slack as he dropped in 26 points and grabbed eight boards to carry his team to victory. SBGglobal.com's Marquette vs Missouri NCAA Tournament Picks: Marquette Golden Eagles +3.5 (-110), Under 149 (-110), +145 (Moneyline) Missouri Tigers -3.5 (-110), Over 149 (-110), -165 (Moneyline) |
