Pittsburgh and Oklahoma State will square off today in an East Region tilt in Dayton, Ohio. The game is scheduled for a 2:50pm ET tip off at the University of Dayton Arena and will be televised live on CBS. Today's winner will move on to face either Wisconsin or Xavier in Boston next weekend. Pittsburgh vs Oklahoma State NCAA Tournament Picks at Sportsbook.com have the top seeded Panthers listed as a -8.5 against the spread favorite. Oklahoma State just got by the Tennessee Volunteers in round one, scoring a dramatic 77-75 win. The victory, the Cowboys ninth in their last 11 games, brought their overall record to 23-11 and their neutral site mark to 5-3. Travis Ford's squad is now averaging 81 points per game while giving up 74.2 to their opposition. The Cowboys kept themselves alive by hitting 56.6 percent of their field goal attempts and getting four players into double figures in scoring. Leading the way for the Pokes was point guard Byron Eaton; not only did the senior score 20 points, he hit the game winning shot with less than five seconds left in regulation. Forward Marshall Moses also showed up big, producing 16 points and snagging 11 rebounds. A 16 seed has never defeated a one seed before but that looked like a legitimate possibility on Friday when the Panthers took on the East Tennessee State Buccaneers. Pittsburgh eventually pulled out a 72-62 win but they were anything but impressive in doing so. However poor the performance, a win is still a win, and Pitt's triumph sends them into today's game having won four of their last five contests. The Panthers biggest bugaboo against the Bucs was the turnover; Pitt lost the ball 18 times in the nail-biter. They also shot poorly from the floor, connecting on 24-of-55 field goal attempts for a less than stellar 43.6 percent. Luckily for Head Coach Jamie Dixon, forward DeJuan Blair had an outstanding game. The big man scored 27 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in leading his team to victory. Sportsbook.com's Pittsburgh vs Oklahoma State NCAA Tournament Picks: Pittsburgh Panthers -8.5 (-110), Over 150 (-110), -400 (Moneyline) Oklahoma State Cowboys +8.5 (-110), Under 150 (-110), +320 (Moneyline) |
