Cornell vs Kentucky Sweet Sixteen 2010 NCAA Tournament Predictions, Picks & Odds: The East's top seed, Kentucky, meets longshot 12 seed Cornell tonight in the Sweet Sixteen at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. The game is scheduled to get underway at 9:57pm ET on CBS. Sweet Sixteen 2010 NCAA Tournament Predictions, Picks & Odds at SBGglobal.com have the Wildcats listed as a -8.5 against the spread favorite.

Kentucky certainly lived up to its top billing last week, wrecking first and second round opponents East Tennessee State andCornell vs Kentucky Sweet Sixteen 2010 NCAA Tournament Predictions, Picks & Odds Wake Forest by a combined 59 points. The Wildcats also averaged 95 points per game in those two victories while shooting 56 percent from the field. The second round effort against the Demon Deacons was especially impressive given the level of competition. John Calipari's troops hit 60.3 percent from the field, had four players in double figures, and secured a 21 to 12 assist advantage.

Guard Darius Miller led the way in that win, scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Close behind was forward DeMarcus Cousins, who hit 9-of-10 from the floor in route to 19 points. Cousins also had eight rebounds, three of which were offensive.

Cornell surprised most everyone with their first round defeat of No. 5 Temple, but their second round win over Wisconsin really raised some eyebrows. The victory itself was not a total shock, but the margin, 18 points, was most unexpected. The Big Red dissected the Badgers tough defense, scoring 87 points on 61 percent field goal shooting. Cornell was especially deadly from long range, burying 8-of-15 from beyond the arc.

Both forward Ryan Wittman and guard Louis Dale topped 20 points in the easy win; Wittman finished the night with 24 while Dale poured in a game high 26. Through the first two rounds of play, Dale is averaging 23.5 points and five assists per game.

Kentucky, which ranks second in the nation in field goal percentage allowed (37.9), will need to be in top defensive form against this sound Cornell squad. The matchup between the senior Dale and Wildcat freshman John Wall should be most interesting.
