The top seeded team in the Southwest Region, Kansas, will face the always dangerous Richmond Spiders tonight at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. This evening's regional semifinal contest is scheduled to tip off at 7:27pm ET on TBS. The latest College Basketball Lines have the Jayhawks listed as a -10.5 against the spread college basketball picks favorite; the Over/Under is set at 136.
Richmond, which closed out the season with a 25-7 record, carried the momentum of its strong finish, which featured a run 
to the Atlantic 10 Tournament title, into the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
The Spiders, winners of nine straight, scored a 69-66 upset of Vanderbilt in their opening game and they thrashed Morehead State 65-48 in their second outing. Richmond's heavy hitters, Kevin Anderson and Justin Harper, came through in both contests, combining for 71 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists.
The Spiders, which are known for their three point shooting touch, demonstrated their skill from beyond the arc against the Commodores, hitting 12-of-24 from downtown. The team displayed another attribute against the Eagles, though, as they limited Morehead State to 37.5 percent from the field and 2-of-14 from long range.
Kansas scored its ninth and 10th consecutive wins last weekend, beating Boston University 72-53 in its opener and Illinois 73-59 to advance to the regional semifinal for the fourth time in the last five years.
Four Jayhawks, including twin brothers Markieff and Marcus Morris, scored in double figures against the Terriers as the team knocked down 29 of its 57 field goal attempts. The Morris twins, who tallied 31 points and 17 rebounds against BU, also led the way against Illinois as the pair combined for 41 points and 24 boards in the win over the Illini.
Richmond has the ability to stay in this game, but the only way it will do so is by lighting it up from downtown. Kansas owns a huge advantage inside and will dominate the glass this evening. The Spiders run, while impressive, ends tonight against the bigger, more talented Jayhawks.
