The Purdue Boilermakers and the UConn Huskies will get the NCAA Tournament Picks Sweet 16 underway with a 7:07pm ET tip off at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Huskies are the top seeded team in the West Region while the Boliermakers are the fifth seed. Tonight's winner will face either Missouri or Memphis in the Elite Eight on Saturday. Purdue won their fifth straight game last weekend, defeating the Washington Huskies 76-74 to advance to the Sweet 16. The win was the 27th on the season for the Boilermakers and it moved their neutral site tally to 4-1. Purdue, which is allowing opponents an average of just 59.4 points per game this year, has won their two NCAA Tournament games by an average of 3.5 points per contest. Matt Painter's team showed a little offense in their victory over the Huskies, hitting 7-of-17 from beyond the arc and getting four players into double figures in scoring. Forward JaJuan Johnson and guard E'Twaun Moore, however, carried most of the load, combining for 36 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in the victory. The Boilermakers also got it done from the free throw line, hitting on 19 of their 23 charity stripe attempts. No team in the NCAA Tournament has been as impressive as UConn through the first two rounds of action. The Huskies took out Tennessee-Chattanooga 103-47 in their first game and they handled a good Texas A&M squad 92-66 in their second outing. The two dominating wins improved UConn's overall record to 29-4 and they advanced their neutral site mark to 6-1 on the season. The Huskies poured it on the Aggies early and they never let up in the 26 point victory. UConn shot 57.9 percent from the field as a team and they hit 5-of-10 from three point range. Guard A.J. Price and forward Jeff Adrien were unstoppable as the two united for 50 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. Jim Calhoun's squad also dominated the glass, earning a 36 to 20 rebounding edge over A&M.
