Villanova and Duke will square off in a Sweet 16 nightcap tonight in Boston. The East Region battle is set to tip off at 9:57pm ET at TD BankNorth Arena and will be televised live on CBS. Should the three seeded Wildcats slip past second seeded Duke, they will face either Pittsburgh or Xavier on Saturday. Villanova vs Duke NCAA Tournament Picks Sweet 16 at Sportsbook.com have the Wildcats listed as a +2 against the spread underdog. Villanova got by a tough American University squad in the first round of the tournament by a score of 80-67 only to have to face sixth seeded UCLA in the round of 32. The Wildcats, however, had no trouble at all with the Bruins, thrashing them 89-69 to advance to the Sweet 16 for the second year in a row. Jay Wright's team, which has won eight of their last 10 games, is now 28-7 on the year with a 5-2 mark in neutral site play. The Wildcats put on an offensive clinic in besting UCLA as they had six players in double figures in points. Leading the way for Villanova was forward Dante Cunningham and guard Reggie Redding. The two players combined for 31 points, 16 rebounds, nine assists, and six steals. Villanova managed to get off 20 more shots than did the Bruins and they outrebounded Ben Howland's team 39 to 26. Duke found its way back to familiar territory last weekend by beating a good Texas team 74-69 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The victory over the Longhorns came on the heels of a 86-62 first round win against tournament virgin Binghamton. The second seeded Blue Devils, which are averaging 78.1 points per game, are now 30-6 on the year and an undefeated 8-0 in neutral site games. Duke was able to get by Texas as a result of their three point shooting prowess. The Blue Devils drained 7-of-14 from downtown while getting double figures in scoring from four different players. Leading the charge for Coach K's squad were Gerald Henderson and Kyle Singler. Henderson scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds while Singler added 17 points and seven boards.
