Northern Iowa vs Michigan State Sweet Sixteen 2010 NCAA Tournament Predictions, Picks & Odds: Northern Iowa and Michigan State will take the court tonight at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis for the right to play in the Elite Eight. The two Midwest Region squads are scheduled to tip off at 9:37pm ET on CBS. The Panthers held the Jayhawks point guard in check, limiting Sherron Collins to 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting, while forcing Kansas into 15 turnovers and 26 percent from beyond the arc. Northern Iowa's frontcourt of Adam Koch and Jordan Eglseder combined for 20 points and 16 boards against the Hawks while the sharp shooting Ali Farokhmanesh scored 17 points on 5-of-9 from long range.

Prior to this year's Tournament run, Northern Iowa had exactly one Tournament win (Missouri 1990) in five NCAA appearances. 

Michigan State got its fifth win in its last six games last weekend with an 85-83 victory over four seed Maryland. The Spartans let a big lead slip away late in the second half as the Terrapins led by one with under 10 seconds left in regulation; however, sophomore guard Korie Lucious, filling in for the injured Kalin Lucas, made up for the lapse by burying a three at the buzzer to send Tom Izzo's squad to a third consecutive Sweet Sixteen.

Guard Durrell Summers led the way for Michigan State with 26 points on 10-of-14 shooting while forward Raymer Morgan added 17 points and nine boards. Lucious, who will take Lucas' place in the starting lineup, finished with 13 points (3-of-6 three pointers). 

The Spartans have won nine of their last 10 NCAA Tournament games and they are 6-1 in their last seven Regional Semifinal appearances.
