Tennessee vs Michigan State Elite Eight 2010 NCAA Tournament Predictions, Picks & Odds: The Midwest Region will be decided today at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri as the Tennessee Volunteers and Michigan State Spartans play for a Final Four berth. The key game is set to tip off at 2:20pm ET on CBS. Elite Eight 2010 NCAA Tournament Predictions, Picks & Odds at Bodog.com have the sixth seeded Volunteers listed as a -2 against the spread favorite.

The Tennessee Volunteers are in uncharted waters today as the school has never played in a regional final. They earned Tennessee vs Michigan State Elite Eight 2010 NCAA Tournament Predictions, Picks & Oddsthat opportunity in this NCAA Tournament by dispatching San Diego State, Ohio, and Ohio State. Their latest victim, the two seeded Buckeyes, went down in flames on Friday by a score of 76-73.

The Volunteers had a miserable night from beyond the arc, going just 4-of-15, and they gave up 31 points to Player of the Year Evan Turner. However, they made up for those two things by dominating the glass to the tune of 36 to 23 and knocking down 12 of their 15 free throw attempts. Tennessee also got an amazing performance from senior forward Wayne Chism, who had 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Michigan State reached the regional finals for the sixth time in their last 11 NCAA Tournament appearances by beating upstart Northern Iowa 59-52 on Friday. The Spartans were without their best player, injured point guard Kalin Lucas, but it did not matter as they out-rebounded the Panthers 31 to 20 and limited the Missouri Valley school to 38 percent field goal shooting. Both Spartan trademarks under Head Coach Tom Izzo.

Sophomore guard Korie Lucious filled in admirably for his injured teammate, scoring 10 points while dishing out four assists and grabbing six boards. He also got it done on the defensive end as he picked the Panthers four times. Durrell Summers was the leading scorer and rebounder for Izzo, finishing with 19 and seven, respectively.

This contest should be a real battle as most big games involving Michigan State are; however, it may be the end of the road for the Lucas-less Spartans. Tennessee is big, fast, and talented and they should be able to compete with State on the boards and get shot up on the perimeter. Close game, but the Volunteers punch their first ever Final Four ticket.
