The No. 2 Pitt Panthers (10-0) basketball team travels to Madison, WI today for a noon tipoff with the No. 7 University of Wisconsin Badgers (10-1). The undefeated Panthers are +5 point road underdogs when they enter the Kohl Center on the Wisconsin campus for this ESPN televised contest. The TOTAL is set at 129 ½ points.
The Badgers have cashed against the spread (ATS) in four of its seven board listed games and are coming off a non-cover to Wisconsin Milwaukee as a -22 point home favorite. The Badgers have fared well covering ATS in games where they were favored by less than 11 points. The only loss Wisconsin sustained this season was on the road at Missouri State (formerly Southwest Missouri) of the Missouri Valley Conference.

The Panthers, while undefeated SU have lost three straight ATS, most recently failing to cover as a 12 ½ point road favorite at Buffalo last Saturday (Dec. 9) and narrowly escaping with a SU 70-67 win. Pitt fell short ATS while favored by 27 ½ at home while hosting Duquesne on Dec. 6 and struggled on the road at Auburn failing to cover as a 10 point road favorite. Pitt opened the season with four straight wins SU and ATS. Both Wisconsin and Pitt have a combined totals record of 9-4-1 cashing for the OVER.
Pitt is undefeated after 10 games for the fourth year in a row. The Panthers have won 21 consecutive non-conference games dating back to 2005, won 10 straight against the Big Ten and are 25-0 in games played in December under head coach Jamie Dixon.
Wisconsin, meanwhile, has matched its best start under head coach Bo Ryan. UW has won 11 in a row at the Kohl Center and is 80-5 at home in Ryan’s tenure. Against Pitt, the Badgers are 8-2 in games played in Madison and lead the all-time series 10-7.
