University of Florida Gators will be losing head coach Billy Donovan. The man that led the Gators to two consecutive NCAA Championship Titles is expected to become the next head coach of the Orlando Magic.
The Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith refused to comment when contacted by Point-Spreads.com.
The final details of the contract are still being negotiated but it rumored that Donovan will make around $6 million per season. An official announcement is expected on Friday.
Donovan lacks NBA coaching experience but he already has a solid fan base in Central Florida making for an easier NBA transition. Orlando fans will be hoping Billy Donovan will be able to get the Magic back in the playoffs and in the NBA Championship hunt next season.
