Jimmy V Classic Tips-OffThe 10th annual Jimmy V Men's Basketball Classic is set to tip off at Madison Square Garden with doubleheader action beginning tonight (Dec. 5) at 7:00 p.m. Syracuse will take on No. 22 Oklahoma State in the event’s first game with No. 14 Arizona and Louisville battling in the nightcap at 9:30 p.m.

Oklahoma State will be making its second appearance in the Jimmy V Classic as the Cowboys defeated Syracuse in the same event in 2004. The Cowboys are sporting a perfect 9-0 record following a 90-74 win over Pepperdine Saturday afternoon. In that game Mario Boggan and Jameson Curry each scored 24 points for the Pokes. Syracuse is 7-1 and coming off a 64-61 loss to Wichita State on Saturday night at home.

Syracuse is favored by a -4 point chalk with a total of 139. The early money is going on the underdog with 82% of the public taking the Cowboys +4. Oklahoma State has covered 3-of-4 games ATS and is 4-0 SU in those games listed on the Las Vegas Board. The Total has split in OSU’s four board games with 2 wins for OVER and 2 for the UNDER. Syracuse is 3-of-7 ATS with four of its games cashing for the UNDER.

In the late game, Arizona will have plenty of experience on the court with senior point guard Mustafa Shakur and senior forward Ivan Radenovic. The Wildcats also have a terrific freshman in forward Chase Budinger. All five starters for Arizona average in double figures and the team is scoring 92.0 points per game. Louisville is short on experience but long on talent with freshman guard Edgar Sosa and freshman forward Derrick Caracter leading the way for the Cardinals.  Odds-makers seem to like the Wildcats installing them -5 point favorites with a total of 165 at most offshore books. Early betting is behind Arizona at 95%. The OVER has cashed in 4-of-6 games the Wildcats have played. In two board games Louisville has played the OVER-UNDER has split 1-1. The Cardinals are also 1-1 ATS. In the six board games Arizona has played they have split ATS 3-3.
