Pitt has defeated Duquesne in 24 of the last 27 meetings and in seven of the series' last eight games. Pitt holds a 43-31 all-time record vs. the Dukes in the series which began on Jan. 13, 1932. Duquesne enters the contest with a 2-4 record. The Dukes have notched wins against Youngstown State and UNC-Asheville. Most recently, Robert Morris handed Duquesne a 73-72 defeat on December 2. Pitt is on an eight-game win streak after winning a road game Sunday at Auburn (74-66) and defeating cross-town rival Robert Morris (67-53) on Wednesday. Against Auburn, Pitt held off the host Tigers in the game's final two minutes to capture a valuable road victory. Against Robert Morris, Aaron Gray led the Panthers with his fourth double-double of the season (21 points/15 rebounds) as Pitt overcame 11.8 percent 3-point shooting to win the game. Pitt won the First Commonwealth Colonial Athletic Association title with an 88-66 win over Florida State last Friday at the Petersen Events Center. Five Panthers reached double figures; Pitt shot 62.5 percent from the floor and assisted on 28 of 35 field goals to register the win. Pitt won each of its four games in the classic as it defeated Oakland (66-55), Massachusetts (85-68) and Northeastern (78-52) last weekend. The Panthers failed to cover in their previous outing at Auburn going into the game favored -10 but coming up short in the six points short ATS. Previous to the Auburn game, Pitt had covered all four of the games listed by the Las Vegas board. The Panthers games against Delaware State, Oakland and Robert Morris were not listed as board games.
