The Utes, who won by an average of 20.2 points per game this season, are this year's BCS buster as a result of their unblemished record and current number six ranking in the BCS standings.

Head Coach Kyle Whittingham's squad proved that they were more than capable both offensively and defensively during the course of the regular season. They averaged 37.4 points per game on an average of 403.2 yards per game, and they held their opposition to a meager 17.3 points per game.
