Iowa vs Georgia Tech 2010 Orange Bowl Picks, Predictions & Odds: The Big Ten's Iowa Hawkeyes will meet the ACC's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets tomorrow night in the 2010 Orange Bowl at Land Shark Stadium in Miami. Kickoff in the BCS postseason dust up is scheduled for 8:00pm ET on FOX. 2010 Orange Bowl Picks, Predictions & Odds at online bookmaker JustBet.com have the Yellow Jackets listed as a -5.5 against the spread favorite.Iowa vs Georgia Tech 2010 Orange Bowl Picks, Predictions & Odds

Iowa finished the season ranked No. 10 in the BCS standings after going 10-2 overall and 6-2 in Big Ten play. The Hawkeyes, which began the year 9-0, placed third in the conference standings behind Ohio State and Penn State, both of which won their respective bowl games. Iowa suffered late season back-to-back losses (Northwestern and Ohio State), but closed out their regular season schedule with a 12-0 win over Minnesota on November 21st.

Tomorrow's meeting with Georgia Tech will be the Hawkeyes eighth bowl game under Head Coach Kirk Ferentz. Iowa, which is 12-10-1 all-time in the postseason, has a 4-3 bowl record with Ferentz on the sidelines, including last year's 31-10 blowout victory against South Carolina in the Outback Bowl.

Georgia Tech finished the regular season with a 10-2 record and an ACC Coastal Division crown to its credit. The Yellow Jackets, which lost their regular season finale 30-24 to Georgia to snap an eight game win streak, went on to win the conference title with a 39-34 victory against Clemson in the ACC Championship Game on December 5th. Tech's win over the Tigers earned Paul Johnson's squad a No. 9 position in the BCS rankings and guaranteed them a BCS bowl appearance.

Tomorrow's Orange Bowl will mark Georgia Tech's 13th consecutive bowl appearance. The Yellow Jackets are 5-7 in their last 12 postseason games and they are 0-1 under Johnson after getting blasted 38-3 by LSU in last year's Chick-fil-A Bowl.

This truly will be a game of offense versus defense. The Hawkeyes rank tenth nationally in yards per game allowed at 286.7 and they rank ninth in points per game allowed at 15.5. Georgia Tech, which is 52nd in total defense, features the nation's second best ground attack at 307.2 rush yards per game and the Yellow Jackets are 13th in the nation in scoring with a 35.3 point per game average.

2010 Orange Bowl Betting Trend: The Hawkeyes are 6-4 straight up and 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games as an underdog with a spread between 4 and 7.5. However, the Yellow Jackets are 6-4 against the spread and 7-3 straight up in their last 10 games as a favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5. Look for the Hawkeyes to keep this game close as their two losses this season have been by a combined 10 points. If they can avoid the turnover (+3 on the season and +5 away from home)  they should have a legitimate chance at upsetting Georgia Tech.
