Texas vs. Alabama 2010 BCS Title Game Predictions: Each team had its close calls this college football season but still found a way to stay unbeaten through 13 games. (Tonight 8:30 pm Eastern, ABC), the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and No. 2 Texas Longhorns will battle for a chance to go 14-0 and for the right to be called 2010 BCS National Champion. The Longhorns then escaped a potential disaster of their own when they got a favorable review call and a clutch field goal to beat Nebraska 13-12 in the Big 12 championship game, earning their spot in Thursday's contest. Texas failed to cover the 14-point spread, while the 25 points went UNDER the posted total of 47. While going 13-0 during the regular season, including conference championship play, Texas finished 5-7-1 ATS while Bama cashed in 8-of-13 games ATS. So far this bowl season the SEC is 6-3, while the Big 12 is 4-3. And in the two bowl games matching teams from these two conferences, the SEC is 2-0; Georgia beat Texas A&M in the Independence Bowl, and Ole Miss knocked off Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl. 2010 BCS Championship Game predictions: Much has been said and written about the Alabama defense this season.
