Arizona Wildcats 2010 College Football Predictions - BCS Odds 2011: It took Mike Stoops a while, but it appears that he finally has the Arizona football program up and running. The Wildcats have put together a 15-9 record over the past two regular seasons, which garnered them back-to-back bowl games for the first time since 1997-1998. 2010 College Football Predictions at BetUS.com are looking for another eight plus win total from Arizona this year as the team is presently listed at -300 moneyline odds to finish with more than seven victories.

Arizona's offense took a step back last year in terms of efficiency, averaging 27.4 points per game while churning out 385 yards per contest. The 2008 Wildcats averaged just 17 more yards per game but produced a 36.6 point per game tally. Nagging injuries to running backs Nic Grisby and Keola Antolin had a great deal to do with the drop in scoring as the pair's yardage and touchdown totals fell from 1729 and 23 in 2008 to 1204 and nine last year.

With Grisby and Antolin back, as well as seven other starters, the unit figures to surpass the 30 point per game mark once again. Also returning is quaterback Nick Foles, who threw for 2486 yards and 19 touchdowns (nine picks) last season, and three starters along the offensive line in center Colin Baxter (first team All Pac 10 last year), left tackle Adam Grant, and right guard Vaughn Dotsy.

The Wildcats defense, which yielded 322 yards and 23.9 points per game a year ago, loses seven starters, including its top four tacklers. Despite the significant departures, Arizona should be just as strong this season. The unit still has big playmakers in defensive end Ricky Elmore (44 tackles, 10.5 sacks) and cornerback Trevin Wade (71 tackles, nine passes defended, five interceptions) and Stoops is an excellent defensive coach who will get the best out of the returning lettermen (19).
