AP Poll Ranks Alabama No 1 – 2011 BCS Odds: The Associated Press released its much anticipated College Football Poll Saturday morning and to the surprise of no one, have Alabama ranked No. 1. The Crimson Tide returns the bulk of its offense, that ran all over Texas in the 2010 BCS Game, including Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram, All-America Wide Receiver Julio Jones and quarterback Greg McElroy. Last Monday, Alabama was ranked No. 1 in the USA-Today Coaches Poll. Alabama received 54 of 60 first-place votes from the media panel and 1,491 overall points.
Ohio State, already ranked No. 2 in the USA Today Coaches poll, earned the same preseason ranking this morning from the Associated Press, its 22nd-consecutive preseason ranking. The Buckeyes received three first-place votes. Ohio State returns 16 starters, including 10 on offense, from a team that went 11-2 last season and defeated Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

Boise State is No. 3, its best preseason ranking, following another undefeated season. Underdogs no more, the Broncos even received one first-place vote. Florida is No. 4, and Texas, who received one first place vote is No. 5. The rest of the top 10 has TCU at No. 6, followed by Oklahoma, which received a first-place vote, Nebraska, Iowa and Virginia Tech.
Boise State is listed by BetUS with the fourth best odds on its BCS board at +800. At +700 odds, Oklahoma is slightly favored over Boise State. Florida is getting +900 and Texas is getting +1400 odds.
