Buffalo Bulls 2010 College Football Predictions – MAC Odds 2010

Buffalo Bulls 2010 College Football Predictions – MAC Odds 2010: The Buffalo Bulls, a team in utter shambles when Turner Gill arrived in 2006, get a new head coach this year in Jeff Quinn. Gill, who guided the school to the MAC title in 2008 with an unlikely championship game win over Ball State, departed to Kansas in the offseason. Quinn comes over from Cincinnati, where he served as the offensive coordinator under Brian Kelly the last three years. 2010 College Football Predictions at BetUS.com have Buffalo listed at +600 moneyline odds to win the conference championship in Quinn's first season.

Jeff Quinn comes to Buffalo with a 1-1 record after having served as interim bowl coach on two occasions, both being after Buffalo Bulls 2010 College Football Predictions - MAC Odds 2010Brian Kelly departed a school (Central Michigan 2006, Cincinnati 2009). Quinn, despite his lack of head coaching experience, helped produce some prolific Bearcat offenses in recent seasons as Cincinnati averaged 36.3 points per game in 2007 and 38.6 points per game last year.

Buffalo fans are hoping Quinn can bring some of that explosiveness to the Northeast even though he will be working with a young quarterback and an inexperienced receiving corps. The Bulls do have four starters back upfront and their top two rushers return as well in Ike Nduka (598 yards, six touchdowns) and Brandon Thermilus (560 yards, four touchdowns), which should aid the transition.

The strength of this year's Bulls squad could be the defense with eight starters and 28 lettermen back from last season's 5-7 team. The defense limited foes to 23.8 points and 343 yards per game in 2009; respectable enough, but definite room for improvement, which should happen with almost every top performer back on campus. Three all conference players from last year return in linebacker Justin Winters, free safety Davonte Shannon, and cornerback Dominic Cook. New defensive coordinator William Inge also inherits first team freshman All American Steven Means, who had five sacks in his inaugural season.

Buffalo Bulls 2010 Schedule: Rhode Island, at Baylor, UCF, at Connecticut, at Bowling Green, at Northern Illinois, Temple, Miami, OH, at Ohio, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, at Akron.

2010 College Football Predictions: 3-9 Overall, 2-6 Conference, Fifth Place MAC East
