2010 College Football Predictions Odds to Win WAC: If ever a person were going to wager a lot to win a little, it would be on Boise State to win the WAC Championship this year. No offense to Nevada and Fresno State, which are both good teams, but the Broncos should own this conference, just like they have in seven of the last eight seasons. 2010 College Football Predictions at BetUS.com would agree as Boise State is presently listed as a -4000 moneyline favorite to defend its WAC title.
Boise State Broncos (-4000): Chris Petersen's squad went a perfect 14-0 last year, knocking off teams like TCU, Oregon,
Fresno State, and Nevada. With 20 starters and 55 lettermen back from a team with an unblemished record, why wouldn't the Broncos be a -4000 moneyline favorite to win what is one of the weaker conferences in the country? Boise State, despite playing in reasonably competitive games against the Bulldogs and Wolf Pack last season, should walk away with another conference championship.
Nevada Wolf Pack (+1200): The battle for second place in the WAC should be an excellent one as Nevada and Fresno State both bring back 15 starters from last year's 8-5 squads. The edge has to go to Nevada, though, which retained its top playmaker in quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick threw for 2052 yards and 20 touchdowns while rushing for 1183 yards (7.3 ypc) and 16 touchdowns last season. The Wolf Pack have also spanked the Bulldogs the last two years, beating them 41-28 in Fresno in 2008 and 52-14 in Reno last November.
