The two rivals are scheduled to kickoff at 7:00pm ET at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia; the game will be broadcast live on ESPNU. 2010 College Football Picks, Predictions & Odds at SBGglobal.com have the Owls listed as a -7.5 against the spread home favorite.

Temple, one of the favorites to win the MAC this season, had a close call to open its season, just getting by city rival Central Michigan vs Temple 2010 College Football Picks, Predictions & OddsVillanova. The Owls, which lost to the Wildcats 24-27 last year, escaped with a 31-24 win thanks to an 18 point fourth quarter outburst.

Al Golden's team finished the night with 322 total yards and, shockingly, managed just 122 on the ground at a 3.3 yards per carry rate. Running back Bernard Pierce, a first team all MAC performer last season, had 75 yards in 20 carries while his backup Matt Brown amassed 54 yards in 10 carries.

The Owls defense held Villanova to 311 yards, but did yield 139 rush yards in just 32 attempts.

Central Michigan, which won the MAC last season with a 20-10 victory over Ohio in the championship game, got its season off to a smoother start with a 33-0 throttling of FCS school Hampton. The Chippewas jumped out to a 16-0 first quarter lead and finished the game with 427 total yards and 26 first downs.

Sophomore quarterback Ryan Radcliff, who is taking over for the MAC all-time leading passer in Dan LeFevour, completed 20-of-34 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown in his first career start. Central Michigan did most of its damage on the ground, though, rushing for 168 yards and three scores.

These two schools last met in 2008 with the Chippewas scoring a 24-14 win in Mt. Pleasant. Central Michigan owns a 2-0 record in the series, which dates back to the 2006 season.

College Football Picks Betting Trend: Temple is 9-1 straight up (5-4-1 against the spread) in its last 10 games as a favorite against a MAC opponent.
