Colorado vs Toledo College Football Odds, College Football Picks & College Football Predictions: The Colorado Buffaloes and the Toledo Rockets are set to mix it up tonight at the Glass Bowl in Toledo, Ohio. The Buffs are coming off a tough season opening loss to Colorado State in Boulder while the Rockets fell to Purdue in West-Lafayette on Saturday. College football odds at Sportsbook.com have the visiting Buffaloes pegged as a -4 against the spread favorite.

Dan Hawkins' hot seat got a little hotter on Sunday night when his Colorado vs Toledo College Football Odds, Picks & PredictionsBuffaloes dropped a big pile of stink at Folsom Field. The neighboring Rams left Boulder with a 23-17 win, but the final score was not totally indicative of the beating Colorado State put on Colorado.

Hawkins team, which was suppose to feature a renewed running game with a healthy offensive line in place, racked up just 29 yards on the ground while averaging 1.4 yards per carry. Part of that low total can be attributed to a 20-3 first half deficit that forced the Buffs to air it out a little more than they would have liked. Quarterback Cody Hawkins ended up throwing 40 passes, completing 24 for 222 yards.

Colorado's defense gave up 376 yards to Colorado State, and despite two turnovers, the Rams held the ball for 32:54 compared to 27:06 for the Buffaloes.

Hawkins' team will probably welcome the site of Toledo's blue, white, and gold uniforms tonight, though. The Rockets defense looked like a Pop Warner team on Saturday against the Boilermakers, giving up 535 yards in a 31-52 loss. Purdue accumulated 315 yards via the run while averaging 8.1 yards per carry.

Those numbers would suggest that Colorado should have little trouble establishing the ground game many people expected to see against Colorado State. However, Buffaloes fans should not chalk up a win just yet. Toledo can move the ball up and down the field, and based upon Colorado's defensive effort Sunday night, the Rockets could find the endzone with some degree of regularity.

Toledo racked up 493 yards, 423 of which came through the air. Quarterback Aaron Opelt is still icing his arm after completing 41-of-67 passes for 423 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Opelt zeroed in on Stephen Williams and Eric Page (true freshman) as the two receivers combined for 27 catches, 313 yards, and three touchdowns.

Tonight's game is scheduled to kickoff at 9:00pm ET on ESPN.

College Football Odds Betting Trend: Toledo is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as a home dog of +6 or less coming off a road loss.
